PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Establishment University of Central Europe”
PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Establishment “Central University of Europe”” accredited by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine for the highest level IV (order MES of Ukraine of 20.01.2017 No. 9-l (the reissue), was founded as the Kyiv Institute for the Humanities in 1994, and became one of the first private higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
The Institute started to operate in the difficult time of formation of independent Ukraine, when state institutions, economy, society has passed difficult way of development of efficient mechanisms of work in the conditions of imperfection of the legislation in the sphere of education and science, relied on inappropriate time of the Soviet legal documents, because the new Ukrainian documents had just being developed.
Kiev Institute for the Humanities one of the first universities in Ukraine, which introduced training programmes “bachelor” and “master” of the Humanities. For the 1990s it was a bold step, when educational qualification innovations were only introduced in education and science and, of course, many students and their parents, employers were still just starting to learn about such an unknown thing as a “bachelor” and “master”. Improving the educational process, improving teaching staff, the Institute grew and expanded, going along with his students, faculty, alumni, to new achievements and status.
Kiev Institute for the humanities , since 1994, has come a long way in the educational and scientific space of Ukraine, enriching the Motherland educated young people, highly qualified specialists in international relations and foreign policy, economic governance and crisis management, translators, philologists.
During 1994-2012, the result of painstaking work by staff and faculty of the Kyiv Institute for the Humanities conducted 15 editions of the bachelors, 14 issues specialists and 8 editions of masters: translators-philologists (English, German, French Philology), political scientists in International Affairs (international relations with advanced study of English, German, French, Norwegian languages), marketers and managers in Economics (Finance and credit on the special program “Financial management”), the financiers (Finance, Banking and Insurance), crisis management (Management of Foreign economic Activity).
Seeking to go forward as a true leader of education, ahead of the Kiev Institute for the Humanities December 1, 2012 became the Kiev Humanitarian Academy, which has made an outstanding and courageous step, has created the first in Ukraine private educational holding.
On 6 April 2015 the Committee on Science and Education of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a meeting. The participants of the meeting were: The Chairperson of the Committee Ms. Grinevich L. M., Committee members and Head of the Pr PrJSC “higher Educational Institution “Kyiv Academy for the Humanities” mr. Shepeluk A. Yu., rector of PrJSC “University “Kyiv Academy for the Humanities” mr. Moldovanova M. And rector of PrJSC “educational Institution “National Academy of Management” mr. Erokhin S. A., rector CVUS “International Academy of Ecology and Medicine” mr. M. Y. Saluta. The main item of the agenda was establishment of joint International Institution.
The main purpose of the meeting was to support a conceptual approach to the creation of an international University complex in the form of a holding company, whose founders are private UNIVERSITIES of Ukraine.
The ultimate goal of the project is the merger of several private Higher Education Institutions into a single University and registration one University, where the UNIVERSITIES-founders become structural units of the University, while retaining a certain legal and financial autonomy.
On 26 November 2015, a historic event happened: PrJSC “Higher educational institution “Kyiv Academy of Humanities”” became the first in Ukraine private educational holding PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher educational University of “Central European Establishmnet””.
Such an extraordinary approach as the creation of a joint international University led to a number of competitive advantages in comparison with domestic and foreign UNIVERSITIES:
– creation of joint departments with a sufficient number of doctors, professors, foreign teachers;
– unification of curricula and programs of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral training in full compliance with the requirements and standards of the EU Universities;
– the creation of a unified methodological support of educational process and introduction of new and innovative approaches to education, research and professional activity of students;
– association of library, computer, information, publishing and logistics capacities. The creation of a single collaborative information portal and a joint advertising and branding database;
– more efficient use of land (classrooms, dormitories, sport centers, recreation centers, etc.);
– the creation of joint management bodies (rector’s office, accounting, training center, admissions office, personnel Department).
One important task of the University is to prepare foreign students from Asia, Africa and Latin America (there is a preliminary agreement on training of students from Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Armenia).
Another fundamental innovation was the creation in the framework of a joint international University – the first educational cluster: network educational Association of specialized Gymnasiums, Lyceums, Colleges and Institutes in different cities of Ukraine and abroad. In coordination with the UNIVERSITIES in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, the planned organization of parallel teaching students in a foreign UNIVERSITY and receive during training period of two diplomas – Ukrainian and EU countries.
Not stopping there PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Institution “Central University of Europe ” goes on. Sharing the aspiration of Ukraine to European integration and recognizing that the entry into the European educational and scientific space of the domestic universities have in this case an overarching goal, the solution of which gives Ukrainian students a huge competitive advantage in education and future employment, PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Educational “Central Establishment European University” conducted a series of successful bilateral meetings with the leading Higher Educational Institutions of Poland.
The result was the signing, on 10 February 2016, agreements on cooperation between PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Establishment “Central European University”” and 4 leading Universities of the Republic of Poland: the Academy of Business in Dombrow Gornji (Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu w Dąbrowie Górniczej), graduate School of Public Administration in Szczecin (Wyższa Szkoła Administracji Publicznej w Szczecinie), Sahanovich Business School in Szczecin (Zachodniopomorska Szkoła Biznesu w Szczecinie, Poland), Higher School of European integration in Szczecin (Wyższa Szkoła Integracji Europejskiej w Szczecinie).
Consequently, PJSC “Ukrainian-Polish Higher Educational Establishment “Central University of Europe”” started the Program “double diploma” with the Polish Universities and, not stopping there, continues talks with universities in other EU countries.
In this way, students have the opportunity to simultaneously study in Polish higher educational institutions and get training time at the University is the second degree of the Republic of Poland, in accordance with the chosen field of study. The signed agreements envisage the establishment of joint scientific-methodical Council consisting of leading experts in relevant fields, the task of which lies in the unification and harmonization of plans and training programs; implementation of the program of remote education (E-Learning) in the learning process of University students, project participants, through the use of modern interactive technologies (mainly electronic platform); entry students of the University on training of a contingent of students of the respective Polish Higher Schools, Academies, Universities with the aim of obtaining a professional degree “bachelor” or “master”.
Therefore, private JSC “Ukrainian-Polish University “Central European University”” today looks with confidence to the future, offers its students the best opportunities, prepares highly qualified specialists, develops international cooperation, expanding foreign educational horizons of Ukraine and contributsto building an open democratic society.
